Anca Resort
A guesthouse moved off the booking platforms to direct reservations, with online payment and content the owner edits.
Context
HospitalityThe guesthouse was visible mostly through the booking platforms, and the price shown, the availability and even the photographs sat under that platform's rules. The cost showed up in two ways: every reservation left with the platform's commission on it, and a change of price or of room had to be made in somebody else's panel and then wait to propagate. The guest never came into direct contact with the host. They needed a place of their own, where availability and price belong to them, and where the guest can book and pay with no middleman.
Architecture
The availability calendar sits on the room, not on the guesthouse.
A free room stays sellable even when others are taken. A shared calendar would have turned guests away for rooms that were free.
The price is read from a list of seasonal rates, kept apart from the page.
The host changes a season's rate without touching the site and without waiting for it to propagate through somebody else's panel.
Payment is completed on the site, through Netopia, with no redirect to an accommodation platform.
The booking stays inside the direct relationship between host and guest, so it no longer leaves with the platform's commission.
What I built
Booking with online payment
A reservation is confirmed with a payment through Netopia, straight from the site, without a redirect to a third-party accommodation platform.
Availability calendar per room
Each room has its own calendar; the system checks the periods already taken before it allows a new booking.
Prices by season
A room's price is read from a separate list of seasonal prices, not written into the page.
Packages with fixed rooms
A stay package comes with its rooms already chosen; selecting it locks manual selection and shows the package price per person.
Content edited in Payload
The rooms, the amenities, the things to see nearby and the photo gallery are managed from the Payload panel, with no work in the code.

- The platform's rules over the photographs and the availability shown.
- The guest books and pays directly, and the contact stays between them and the host.
- The rooms, the amenities and the gallery are changed from Payload, with no work in the code.
- Stay packages come with their rooms already chosen and with the price per person.
- Bookings come in through the site steadily.
